My Jerry and I finally tied the knot on Friday, after being together for over 4 years.

Our kick-ass wedding party!
The Day turned out way beyond anything I could’ve possibly imagined: The flowers, the cake, the weather, the food, decor, music… Everything! We are so grateful to all of our wonderful friends and family who made this day possible… It wasn’t just me and Jerry’s day; it was a collaborative effort! That’s not to say that there weren’t any minor mishaps.
My Best Friend and Matron of Honor, Sarah, took the bullet as far as bad wedding juju goes. After arriving to our apartment that morning, Sarah discovered she had forgotten to remove her shoes from the roof of their car before leaving the hotel parking lot. Only one shoe survived the 4-mile trip. Upon back-tracking their route, they discovered the second shoe had sustained fatal injuries after landing on the interstate. Sarah’s husband, Dave, nobly sacrificed his morning to find new, similar shoes while Sarah got her hair done. He’s so sweet 🙂
We also ended up having waaay too many chairs at our ceremony locale from the earlier wedding. Thank you, Uncle Danny, for moving 100+ chairs in the sweltering heat, so our wedding didn’t resemble a Nickelback concert! 🙂
Most importantly though, our wedding day was fun. I think sometimes things get so busy and hectic that people can forget to really enjoy the day. Since our ceremony was in the late afternoon/early evening, Jerry and I were each able to enjoy some time with our friends and have ample space to tie up any loose ends before the ceremony.
